Luxraptor

This is my Pokemon OC, Luxraptor (Haven't decided on his actual name yet). He's rather new, and is one of my favorites.

Name: Luxraptor

Species: Staraptor/Luxray Hybrid

Age: Unknown

Size: He's a bit taller than the average human male; easily big enough to carry someone on his back without difficulty.

Personality: He's fairly benign unless you get on his, or his partner's, bad side. Very protective (especially towards his partner), bold, intelligent, and proud.

Origin: Was created in a lab by the Silph Corporation

Reason for Creation: Unknown. There is a backstory to this, but that sort of thing would be revealed in any RP I use him in.

About the whole "partner" thing. He has specific standards as to what he's looking for and the traditional Pokemon/trainer relationship probably wouldn't be sufficient for him. He would fully expect to be treated as an equal to his partner, whomever he chooses, and would likely take offense to being looked at as a mere Pokemon. This isn't to say he'd attack someone if they insulted him accidentally, but he'd show clear annoyance. He sees his partner as someone he'll spend the rest of his life with, and would treat them exactly how he'd expect to be treated; with respect, honor, and care. He is well aware that finding a perfect person for him might be impossible, so he's willing to select someone who he thinks will "grow into the role" if they allow him to "work on them" as it were.

He possesses the ability to see into a person's true nature/soul. This is primarily used to aid him in finding a partner he'd be satisfied with, but after he's found the partner it would be useful to judge a potential threat or to see through deception.

Since finding a partner is a time consuming process, Luxraptor will probably follow people around who've grabbed his attention. He'll do this until he's made his decision on whether to choose them. When he's made his selection, he'll bow to them, and will expect a bow in return. He doesn't see it as an expression of submission, but rather one of deep respect.

One he's found the perfect person, they'll be partners for life.
